Dedicated To Improving the Miniature Australian Shepherd Breed
International Champion Dusty Boots Shiraz

A striking red-bi, it's our belief that this 16" girl is one of the nicest examples of the Miniature Australian Shepherd breed around. She is blessed with wonderful alertness, an enthusiastic personality and an incredible presence. Razz's hips are OFA Good, elbows are OFA Normal, her eyes are CERF Normal and she is MDR 1 Mutant/Normal. She has proven to be a wonderful Mom-producing some outstanding progeny.  You can see many of her past puppies on our puppy page.

On February 17, 2009-Razz blessed us with her final litter.  Ten beautiful puppies.  You can watch them grow by checking out their web page.

National Champion Polly-now retired

Polly is our athlete. She's a 15 inch red-tri already adept at soccer-kick the ball as hard as you can and she'll push it back to you with her snout (100 yards is not uncommon). She also understands how to "head" the ball or use her chest to knock the ball down. Basketball is another skill-no more retrieving missed shots around her, Polly will push those airballs back to you. She was a Mom for the first and only time in 2006 ). All 4 puppies tested as show/breed quality.  3 of the pups won their Championships at only four months of age-on the same day!  Polly's hips are OFA Excellent and in the 80th percentile on the PennHip scale. Eyes are CERF Normal.  Her MDR-1 is Normal/Normal. Polly enjoyed herding lessons at Ken Leigh Acres in Dexter, OR and is now working our sheep regularly.
International Champion Pollux-now retired

Pollux arrived at Dusty Boots in September of 2006.  He is one of nicest and truest Miniature Australian Shepherds ever bred.  Besides being incredibly warm, Pollux has won his share of conformation titles including being put up as one of the top dogs in the breed in 2002 at the ARBA/NAMASCUSA Nationals.  Pollux comes from legendary bloodlines at Patchwork Farms.  His mom is Wanna'be Rag-A-Muffin, one of the most influential bitches throughout the formulative years of this new breed (the 90's).  Pollux produced some awesome puppies over the past several years but is now retired. Pollux is 17 inches tall and 40 pounds.  His OFA score is Excellent and he has been CERF cleared.  At nearly 10, Pollux is "old school" but the younger guys don't have anything on him.  Quality is truly timeless!

International Champion Dusty Boots Silver Storm
BISP, BOB

We're keeping our fingers crossed that we've found something special with this beautiful red-tri female.  Havannah is a product of our friend Ruth Vanderhoof at Pocket Aussies. She traveled all the way to St. Louis to make her show debut-that's a long way from Oregon!  It was worth the trip though, as Havannah scored her Junior International Championship at the beautiful Purina Farms facility. Havannah has a laid-back personality but does get fired up when it's her turn on the sheep.  She's really taken to dog scootering, too and is becoming a powerful puller. Now three years old, Havannah seems to be coming into her own.  Havannah' is 16", her hips are in the 80th percentile on the PennHip scale.  CERF is Normal. Her MDR 1 results are Normal/Normal.  She was a first time Mom in 2008-you can check out her puppies on their page.
Jr. International Champion Havannah

What a Fall it was for Hunt!   In September, he finished second in the nation as Most Versatile Aussie in the NAMASCUSA competition at the 2008 Mini Nationals-to learn more about the MVA adventure click here.  In October, he earned his IABCA International Championship at a conformation show in Enumclaw, Washington.  His championship conformation plus herding, agility and rally-O skills make him an ideal measure of the versatility of the Aussie breed.  Huntington's Penn Hip was above the 99th percentile!   CERF Clear and MDR 1 is Normal/Normal.

Thanks so much to McFinley Aussies sharing this once-in-a-lifetime dog with us.  He is the perfect guy to stand at the foundation of our breeding program.

He hails from an outstanding new breeder, McFinley Aussies in Olympia, Washington.  Hunt has number of remarkable champion Aussies and Mini Aussies in his pedigree.

Hunt is easy to work with and is a very fast learner. While maturing into a handsome young man, he is doing a wonderful job mastering his agility class.

Hunt is MDR Normal/Normal and CERF Normal.

Jr. International Champion Patchworks Blue Ribbon
We are very excited about our newest addition.  Ribbon is a strikingly-marked little blue merle with the classic Patchworks look.  Her pedigree includes many of our favorite mini Aussies.  Ribbon is nearly 14 inches (on the small side like her mom-Patchworks Delilah) and is proving to be very biddable.  She is gaining in confidence everyday-largely because of her agility lessons and weekly 4H meetings.  In October '07, Ribbon made her showring debut claiming her puppy championships at the IABCA show in Enumclaw, Washington.  MDR 1 test is Mutant/Normal.
Jr. International Champion
Dusty Boots Just Hummin' Along

Hummer is an up & coming, versatile dog.

He showed his prowess in the showring by claiming his Jr. International Championship in April '08.  He's already began agility training and he's dying to get going on the sheep.

Hummer is MDR Normal/Normal and his CERF clearance is Normal.

You can see some puppy pictures and his littermates by clicking here.

Jr. International Champion Bumboo
Multi BISP

The sky is the limit for this active young lady.  Bumboo has the kind of versatility Aussie lovers dream of.  She was a natural herder from the git-go on ducks and is now working with sheep regularly and keeping the chickens in line daily.  She started agility training in December 08.  Her rock-solid conformation will serve her well.  At just four months of age, Bumboo was already a two-time Best in Show Puppy and earned her IABCA Jr. International conformation title.  Her CERF is normal and her MDR 1 is Normal/Normal.  We are proud to co-own this little champion with her breeders, Deb and Dee from McFinley Aussies in Olympia, Washington.
